Silver Birches

LOVE IT HERE! I’ve been coming here for years and it’s always a wonderful experience. My fiancé & I actually chose this spot to get married at because of how much we and our families love it. View of lake is perfect, rooms are great and service is amazing! Located in the best spot near all the good places too.

Stayed at Silver Birches for a long weekend with my husband and we loved it! The views are spectacular. Staff was super nice, accomodating and went out of their way for us. Michele was our shuttle bus driver and she is great! She was so helpful and gave us many tips and things to do and see. We already booked another night to go back and the office staff are so helpful!

We recently stayed for a wedding. Basic rooms were $300+ and smelled heavily of must and mildew. The place is 100 yrs old which I love but it doesn’t have to smell like it. Hot water ran out in the middle of the first shower. Dated carpet and a tad dumpy for the heavily gouged price. The food at the small wedding was overcooked and dry. When my friend was served the wrong dish the servers were extremely rude saying “well that’s what you picked!”when it wasn't what she picked. Very unprofessional. My advice would be if you must stay overnite for a wedding, bring a hoagie or two along with you, you’ll need it when you get back to the room. Continental breakfast consisted of apples and a keurig with only decaf and tea. It’s in a prime spot on the lake with exceptional views.

Had a lovely stay mid snowstorm. Rooms seemed a bit dated but we could see the picture of coffee on the deck looking at the lake. Appreciated the hospitality would stay again. Fireplace was a great touch!

Beautiful views, awesome lakefront location!!! Loved the firepits and enjoyed our cottage. However, this place has soooo much room for improvement. First, the whole place needs a solid power washing. Second, landscaping needs a huge lift. Lastly, this place seems to advertise itself as a top tier resort, but it’s more like a self serve campground. Outside breakfast tables and chairs were wet. Seating is cheap and mismatched chairs. Buffet continental breakfast was average.
