Tru by Hilton San Antonio North

We have no idea what this hotel is like because the entire cleaning crew left and they did not have a clean room for us. We used rewards and they refuse to issue a refund because even though they had zero rooms clean they said we stayed. Eric the general manager NEVER would get on the phone to talk to us about it. That should tell you enough about his character to not want to be there just in case you have issues...he will hide from them. If you choose to have good customer service this is not the place to stay. We can not comment on the rooms because we only saw one uncleaned room.

We just needed a room for a night. We had a small amount of luggage and no hang up clothes. This place was all we needed. We didn’t realize that our first floor room was a handicapped one. We would have gone to the second floor. The room was clean and comfy. Since it was a handicapped room, it was larger than a regular one. No coffee pot, but there was ample coffee always in the lobby. Breakfast was usual hotel fare. There is construction next door so getting to the parking lot was difficult. Friendly helpful staff.

Hotel is near many restaurants including In and Out. Tru was very clean. The breakfast was one of the best I've have in a hotel where its included. They had pancakes, eggs, bacon, hot oatmeal with all the topics, waffle makers, cereals, and amazing juice options.

The hotel it self wasn’t too bad, but our room wasn’t the greatest. I’ve stayed in better Tru Hotels. There was mold on the bathroom wall, the light on one side of the bed didn’t work, they advertised that the microwave sat out in the lobby but it didn’t so I had to keep asking them to heat up food that I brought due to dietary restrictions, and the remote to the TV didn’t work. I had to use the remote off the app & the sound to the TV was not loud at all. We couldn’t hear anything on the TV.

Disaster - Cleaners didn't arrive and they had people waiting to 3am and still didn't have rooms. Mine was eventually cancelled. Also, they made me call a Central number for a refund as it was prepaid. Spoke to the rudest and unprofessional people at that number. He was shouting at me and wouldn't let me talk and refused to let me talk to a manager, as he says he was the manager. Absolute disaster by the hotel and Hilton as a whole
