Tru by Hilton Fort Walton Beach

Last minute reservation with two rooms. As Diamond members, we typically do not stay at Tru, but needed just a quick one night stay close to the airport. |The rooms were clean. Front desk was polite. Lobby was nice. |Rooms are small, but this is how the Tru hotels are. If you need more space, you need to book elsewhere.|Location is just 10 minutes from the pier and the beach. Ubers on a Sunday night were hard to come by, and had to wait 15 mins for rides.

Stayed for a single night on our way to 30a.. It was the first night of my wife's retirement celebration trip. I mentioned it to the staff and when we showed up the bed was full of colored blown up balloons and a happy retirement page with some treats on the bed. It was so much more than they had to do and made a huge impact. I'm very grateful for the staff and the hotel going the extra mile without even being asked. No one does that anymore and it did not go unnoticed. Thank you very much. The breakfast was also excellent and had steel cut oats, hard boiled eggs as well as cooked breakfast items and great fresh fruit as well as pancakes and Berry toppings. Great breakfast And a a great experience all together.

Positive: It was clean Negative: My first stay at the Tru was a disappointment, falling short The rooms were plain, with thin walls that allowed noise from the adjacent room to disturb my sleep. The lack of a microwave was inconvenient, and the breakfast was unimpressive.

Avoid at all costs. Bathroom was out of body wash soap, they didn't have any soap to give. I asked for the 2nd time the following morning and sure enough when I returned in the evening, no soap. No one at front desk to answer so I went in person and no one at the front desk either(picture attached). Had to wait 15+ minutes for the only 1 person working the entire hotel. What a disgrace of a franchise to carry Hilton's name. Sort reviews by the lowest ratings to confirm the avoidance.

Great hotel. Clean, friendly. Rooms a bit small but who cares you should be at the beach.
