Destin West RV Resort

The campground is very nice and clean. The only issues with the back in sites are that the patio sections are too far back. When I backed in, my side door missed the patio by 8 feet. If I had pulled up to catch the patio, my drivers side slide would have been in the bushes and I would not have been able to park my truck on site. Also, even though they have I Internet, it is slow and the signal is weak. Mine only showed good or fair the entire time. I was better working from my phone. Other than those 2 things, the campground is well kept and clean, just a bit tight in some spots.

My wife and I booked a waterfront site for our wedding anniversary. The site was quite large offering plenty of room for our RV and a car. The site is full hook-up with pavers, a picnic table and umbrella. While we did have access to the hotel amenities, we didn't use them. The campground has a pool, is pet friendly, and convenient to several restaurants within walking distance. The only thing we didn't have working at this site was cable TV and Wi-Fi. It looks as though it's being re-worked. The campground was very quiet and we felt safe. They do pick up your trash when you leave it at the entrance of your site. Overall, we did enjoy our stay and found the place to be relaxing; especially the water views. I hope you find this review helpful in making your travel plans.

Great place that backs right up to the bay! You can walk down 10 steps and put your feet into the water. This was a great spot because it gave you access to the hotel across the road from it. We went over there and spent the day on the beach and bought the chairs and umbrellas for $40.00. The drinks were flowing, and you had service right at your chair!

We stayed here for 9 nights in June and absolutely loved it. The staff and camp hosts were great. Every day the staff were continuing to keep the grounds clean and neat. The site we stayed in (Site 15) was large and level (as were all of the sites). The pool was warm and clean. There is an area overlooking the bay to sit and have coffee in the morning or just hang out. They have stairs to walk down to the water. An ice cream truck comes through the resort a couple of times a day!! Access to the Island Resort (Across the street) is included (they have pools, bars, and restaurants). Public parking is available beside The Island for beach access. You can rent 2 chairs and umbrella for the day if you want instead of dragging all of your beach stuff along. Destin beach is an amazing location for a summer beach getaway and Destin West Vacations is in the heart of prime beach real estate. The partnership they share with the Island Resort is unmatched. The only drawback is walking the kids across the busy highway 98. The boardwalk is walking distance and fishing is available in the bay behind the location. Amazing location, amazing amenities , and great place for a family stay. Couldn’t be happier with the choice to stay here.
