Tru by Hilton Chesapeake Greenbrier

We stayed the Tru hotel over Thanksgiving weekend. We were very excited because it new and in a great location. The customer service was pretty good. The room was a little small, The sheets on the bed was very thin. I tried to adjust the heat on the wall and it didn’t work. I had to use the floor unit to adjust the heat. My room was very cold. I asked for extra blanket, but they didn’t have any. She gave me an extra sheet. Next We stayed there for three nights and no one came to clean our room or take out the trash until The second day after asking your front desk, if they could come clean our room. Once we return back to the room, they did not make the bed or anything. They only took out the trash and gave us new towels. They didn’t even take out the old towels and washcloths. Otherwise,

A trendy take on Hilton. Funky furniture and decor. The bed was comfy. It was easy to come and go from this location. The room HVAC made a loud sound when it turned on. There's some road noise due to the proximity of the highway. Room servicing was supposed to be every other day, but I didn't have any on a four night stay (I didn't really need it, but some people like regular service). The staff were largely indifferent. Friendly enough, but it felt like a mask (not really genuine). I'd likely make a different choice next time. Not bad, but not great either.

I stayed at this hotel on Sunday night, January 11th, as a Hilton Honors Gold Member. Unfortunately, this was a very poor experience from start to finish.||My first room (419) had air blowing cold despite outside temperatures being in the 30s. The TV did not work, and the night attendant discovered the cables had been disconnected. While attempting to move me, the employee stated that it was difficult to find another room because many rooms were down for maintenance.||After roughly 45 minutes, I was moved to Room 412. The second room was worse. The heat did not work at all. After an hour, around 1:00 a.m., I called the front desk and was told maintenance had already gone home and nothing could be done. Even turning the unit off did not stop cold air from blowing. I slept in my coat and wok

Positive: Location. Negative: The room had a lingering odor of sweat and the refrigerator did not keep items very cold. There is only one microwave available for the entire building. A microwave in room and larger/better functioning refrigerator is expected at this star level.

acceptable stay. you'll notice a few things in the room like no coffee maker or microwave but you can go down to the lobby 24 hrs a day to get free coffee. like others said, you might smell marijuana on occasion but not often. the hotel was very clean. breakfast was so-so but not bad. the two ladies i saw working the desk were nice. i would stay again but i prefer a different brand of hilton as tru only gives half of the normal points.
