Tru by Hilton Charleston Ashley Phosphate

We had a wonderful stay. The front desk team was incredibly friendly and helpful, and the breakfast host on Monday went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. Even the housekeepers greeted us with a smile. Our room was spotless and very comfortable.

We stayed the week of Thanksgiving and really enjoyed our visit. My kids loved the pancakes and looked forward to seeing Miss V every morning. She is so kind and always made sure the breakfast area was well stocked and the coffee was fresh. She truly was the highlight of our stay. My only recommendation would be for housekeeping to place enough towels in the room for the number of guests staying in the room. I noticed several other guests in line with me at the front desk to request additional towels.

This is my first time staying at a Hilton Tru hotel. I LOVE THIS PLACE! This is a very clean hotel and the front desk team is super friendly and they truly care about their guests and do everything they can to ensure you have a good stay. The room is cozy but comfortable and super clean. The shower is awesome! The breakfast is really good too! They have the coolest pancake maker I've ever seen.... you wave your hand and it makes you 2 fresh pancakes right before your eyes...whaaaaat? I am pretty hotel picky but I highly recommend this location. It's pretty awesome!

The hotel was clean and overall well maintained. Breakfast was satisfactory, though it would have been nice if the waffle maker had been operational. My main concern was that quiet hours did not appear to be enforced. It seems I stayed during a tournament, and there was significant noise late into the evening from children playing outside my window and in the hallway. My recommendation would be to avoid placing guests on the same floor as large groups when events are taking place. That said, when I spoke with the front desk the following day, they were very helpful and promptly moved my family and me to a different room. We appreciated their assistance, and the remainder of our stay was comfortable.

This hotel is super impressive for what I think is officially a two star hotel. Super clean, with a gym, pool, plenty of free parking a great common area with free pool table and games to use. We have stayed in plenty of 4 star Hilton’s and have struggled to find a difference. You can get tea, coffee and hot chocolate in the lobby and the reception team are all lovely, with a special shout out to Ms June, who could not be more helpful and friendly. Breakfast is hot and free! The only thing that it doesn’t have is a laundry and there isn’t much locally so a car is essential.
