Holiday Inn Express & Suites Charleston Arpt-Conv Ctr Area by IHG

Positive: It was clean Negative: I didn’t like they switched my room from a king to queen beds. The shuttle service was very confusing.

I have literally tried to give this hotel the benefit of the doubt. I've had ants in my room twice . I still come back . I ask for a late check out only to come back and find my room totally picked apart by housekeeping and this is not the first time it has happened more than once on separate occasions. I try to be understanding but when the same slackness continues to happen something needs to be said. I will be patronizing another hotel from now on this Holiday Inn on W. Montague has lost my business. Please do better. Perhaps the Hampton across the street will be more accommodating to my late check out request.

Lori at the front desk was exceptional. I had called earlier in the morning and made a special request. I’ve never had this happen before but she actually emailed me back confirming that she was able to grant my request. Exceptional customer service. The hotel was very clean. We were going to an event and my wife asked the front desk how far the place of the event was away that the event was being held at. We were told a few minutes and then the hotel Cory kindly offered to take us there and pick us up, again above and beyond. This room did not have a coffee maker in it come on IHG you can do better than that.

This was a very clean and friendly hotel. Anytime I left or entered the facility I was greeted by someone at the front desk. They were very attentive to my needs. My hotel room was very neat, clean and orderly. All the amenities of home were available to me. The bathroom was spotless and was well stocked with bath towels. The couch and bed were very comfortable, and it was a relaxing atmosphere. I will definitely stay there again when I am conducting business in the Charleston area.

The rooms were very clean! Though it took us longer than we'd like to admit on finding the main light switch. That was the only frustration, we spent the first evening there in the dark because of it. (It's not a traditional switch, or on the wall.. it's on the side of a cabinet). But the people at the front desk were also very nice, and helpful. It was a great stay overall!
