Travelodge by Wyndham - Memphis Airport

Positive: Check out was easy Negative: The sign still had dad,s place so it was a little harder to find travel lodge was smaller on the sign. Elevator needed updating. Security was really good.

I rented eight rooms for 16 nights. From the very first day, I went to the front desk and asked to cancel everything and get a full refund because the place was absolutely disgusting and unlivable. They told me to contact Customer Service, and Customer Service said only the hotel could approve the refund. The hotel then confirmed by phone that I would receive a full refund and apologized. That was about a month ago. I have called many times since then, and despite spending almost $9,000, I never received my money back. The entire place smelled terrible. The room lights didn’t work, there was no security, doors were broken, hallway walls were damaged, the sink didn’t drain, the microwave was broken and had mold, and the TV didn’t work. Do not stay here. This place is a scam.

I wish I could rate this place higher. The room smelled like cigarette, people were loitering in the parking lot in their cars, the bed was at least 10 years old, the shower leaked, something as simple as painting the bathroom and getting rid of the smoke smell would have gotten it a good rating for the value. I have only stayed in one worse place in my life, that was on the other side of the world for $8! Oh and a lady got arrested during my stay. I did sleep ok, the noise wasn’t too bad and at least nobody cleaned my room during my visit, so I’m certain nothing went missing from my bag. It’s that bad of a place. You guys have a lot to work on!

Why are the reviews so low? I stay in hotels all over the country, and for the price, this place isn’t bad at all. The room I stayed in was clean, all appliances worked, the shower wasn’t gross, and the soap they give you is actually decent. It took a long time to get checked in, but my stay overall was well worth the $50 it cost.

This hotel needs to be removed from Wyndam's list, since I trusted that it would be an acceptable place to stay, and it wasn't. We felt so unsafe the entire time. The place is so run-down. Our room reeked of cigarette smoke (I had to wash everything in my suitcase when I got home because the smell permeated everything), but we were to afraid to venture out to ask for another room. We found a tooth in the drawer. There was a mat of hair under the pillow. The beds were terribly hard. After we got into our room, some guy knocked on the door saying he was maintenance and had our key card. Since we were clearly in the room already, there was no way we were opening the door. Our door was knocked on two other times that night. We didn't get any sleep, and I was so nervous that I was experiencing
