Hyatt Place Memphis/Wolfchase Galleria

Our family stopped here while traveling home. It was close to where we were and needed to just stop for the night. Quick booking through my trip app, and the guy was nice when I was checking in. The room was okay, nothing special, honestly, which was surprising since it was a higher end hotel, but it was decent as far as cleanliness and enough beds for my family of 6. The beds are not that comfortable. The complimentary breakfast was decent, and coffee was good. Was in a good part of Memphis.

I was quite impressed with this hotel! I didn't have any serious expectations besides a clean room but I was pleasantly surprised to see how large the room was including a desk, couch, mini fridge, and separate sink for drinking water! The room was also stocked with several towels. We never seem to have enough at other places. The complimentary breakfast was a delightful surprise, and had a fantastic variety. Eggs both boiled and scrambled, breakfast burrito materials, potatoes, pancakes, a toaster with several bread options, and a waffle maker. I truly have nothing negative to say about my experience!

We have been here several times in the past and loved it. There was a noticeable deterioration in the facilities. In addition, the staff was average but certainly not welcoming. On this trip as well as the last one, we have had problems with the bathroom. We asked to be moved and were accommodated. On the last visit, maintenance was called. Also there were holes in the blanket, coffee cups in the room were cracked and leaking and the connection to the tv was loose from the wall. There are signs at the breakfast buffet saying you have to eat in the lobby. I found this confusing and offensive—especially since we were given styrofoam plates and plastic utensils. I provided feedback and hope changes are made. As it stands, we will not return—unfortunately.

I stay at Hyatt properties a lot as I travel for business frequently. I used a free night for this stay and all was fine until it came time to check out. I called the front desk to ask for late check out. As a globalist member, I’m aware that my check out can be as late as 4pm. As I asked for late check out, whoever answered the phone told me that 12pm was late check out time. I asked if I could do a later time. Instead reminding me of and/or confirming my earned 4pm status, I was asked “What time do you want?” Understanding that properties are independently owned and they may choose to abide by different rules, I asked “What’s the latest I can do?” The person asked the time I preferred again. I said 2:00. They then chuckled and said “You were afraid to say. You ask for what you need.” I t

Its just off highway. Plenty of parking around; beware of the abandoned restaurant and a Run down neighborhood kinda feel. Close to grocery stores, restaurants and other stores. Front Desk is easy to locate, they have a generous lobby area with couches, tables and chairs to lounge or get work done. Breakfast area is to the left of front desk and Elevators are behind the desk. 1st floor small gym (2 treadmills, 2 hand bicycles, 1 Peloton bike and 1 Elliptical; and also small rack of dumbells - beware there is no workout bench) The elevators, floor hallways and rooms have similar carpet- seems old and never vacuumed or brushed. The rooms are spacious - 2 queens vs 1 King bed. Sofa/couch; small kitchenette area with mini fridge and sink. 1 desk with chair. 1 small closet. Bathrooms are f
