Travelers Motel

The owners, Mr. and Mrs. Allen are wonderful and welcoming. They shared recommendations of where to go out on the trails nearby. Their willingness to share a lifelong knowledge of the area had us feeling like we were visiting friends. The rooms are cozy and spotless. Walking distance (maybe a block) from Family Dollar if you want ice, snacks or sunscreen. Room rate was fair, parking our truck and side by side was easy and location was good. We will be back.

Looked for a place to crash for the night under $100 and fell in love with the older couple who run the place. Accommodations were similar to most motels and were clean and mostly quiet. |There is a wonderful little garden filled with mint worth a sniff, and I was pleased to find the window would open and I could breathe in a bit of fresh air! |We felt good knowing our $$ went to hardworking folks and not an overpriced chain.

We arrived in town at 10:30pm and this was the only reasonably priced motel with a vacancy. I have to say this little place was so homey and comfortable. The owner was so nice and accommodating. No it doesn't have a refrigerator in the room but it does have one you can use. The room was spotless, so unlike most motels I have stayed at. I would definitely stay here again!! Five stars all the way!!!

A rather old fashioned type of motel but that shouldn't put you off. The couple running the motel were welcoming and friendly. They let us check in in mid-morning as the room was empty. Not a lot of frills but a comfy room, parking just outside the door, and plenty of hot water and fluffy towels. Certainly not like one of the big chain motels but also priced much much better.

This was the only motel in Kanab that seemed to be charging a reasonable price. Everywhere else in this town hiked their prices in late September, seemingly operating a cartel. But Travelers Motel kept a modest price. The motel is small, but comfy. Traditional style, and not part of a chain of anonymous boring motels, so much to be recommended if you want genuine American hospitality.
