Tram Road Equestrian Campground

Eagle Rock Equestrian Club did a wonderful job building corrals, a round pen and paying for the 2 wells with pitcher pumps to use for our horses. Several nice trails take you thru different types of forest. Primitive camping but having water available is great. Generators are allowed and campsites are big......very comfortable.

This is a great place to stay close to Daytona during bike week and with horses. Less than $10 a day. Only reason I didn't give 5 stars is the 4 camp sites only have one small corral per site. What is the point in that 99% of people have 2 horses when camping. That was a huge inconvenience cuz our horses need to see each other but can't be in the same stall together. But what I found frustrating they have a huge day use area with spots with 2 corrals. The rangers said we would be removed if we stayed in that site. No one that comes to ride in day use even uses the corrals. Yes we took a chance bringing a big unit when the website says no big units, but we managed to get in and work our way out. The trails were really nice. Would definitely come back

My wife and I spent a night here on April 9th 2021 at campsite #2. This is a great secluded camping spot. We enjoyed our time tent camping here, and will definitely be back! The site was very flat so we had no issues finding a good spot for the tent. There was nearby access to a trail, non-potable water pump, and trash can which was very convenient. The site itself included a picnic table, fire ring with cooking grate, and a standard charcoal stove. This site is shaded by a few beautiful oak trees; they hang low in some spots so you will need to be careful if you're parking a large RV at this site. During tick season, make sure to bring bug spray and be prepared to remove them! We saw a bunch (~30 in 24hrs) at this spot. Of the ones I was able to identify, they were lonestar ticks, whic

This is more about Google Maps insanely errant directions because I can't figure out how to contact them. They pointed me to LPGA Blvd. west off of I95 to a Catholic School parking lot. No! Go 1 exit further south to 92 west off I95 to Indian Lake Road, a few miles. Turn right on Indian Lake Road and it will take you into the Tiger Bay State Forest. Take your first right after entering the gate and then the next right after crossing a small one lane bridge onto Rima Ridge Rd. This will take you to the Tram Road Equestrian Campground and also the closer (and larger) Bennett Field Family Campground. Nice little campground. No potable water, porta johns. Dry camping, quiet. About a mile and a half from Hwy40 down a hard dirt/sand road with lots of washboard. The road was much smoother when we were here last.
