Holiday Inn Express and Suites Ormond Beach North Daytona, an IHG Hotel

The Holiday Inn Express & Suites Ormond Beach offers a quality stay, though the initial arrival can be a bit of a surprise. If you are arriving for the first time, especially after sunset, the layout is slightly off-putting. The hotel is situated directly behind an older school motel, which makes the entrance feel hidden. Navigating the dark driveway to find the modern building tucked away in the back requires a bit of a "leap of faith" the first time you visit. Overall room/ hotel was clean and nice. Only complaint was when asked for more towels the next morning they wouldn’t give us any. We had 2 towels and 4 people in our room.

One of the best customer service I have ever been to everyone is so kind always saying good morning hello how are you? You know that really means a lot when you travel and you’re a truck driver and you just wanna talk to somebody and have a good conversation. The view from my room made me feel like I was in the forest of Florida and those palm trees. The waterfall and the beautiful outside pool is just gorgeous. This place is so clean. I love the coffee machine and I enjoyed that hot shower, comfy beds with such soft pillows

The hotel was clean. The rooms were spacious. The bathroom was clean. The beds were comfortable. The breakfast was good - nice variety with different food options each day. The gentleman that worked the breakfast area was friendly and polite. My only concern with the hotel was the ability to access the stairs from the outside(through the front slider door) to the rooms without a hotel key. A simple access box for the stairs (with room key) would quickly solve this safety issue.

Terrible customer service. I made a reservation for Daytona 500. Be careful, they do not allow cancellations and don't make it obvious that you're booking a non-refundable room. I learned after I made the reservation that this was for a young adult who can't stay separate from the other adults coming in for the trip. I requested a one time exception considering the circumstances and they denied it. Wouldn't even offer any amount off. Other hotels like Shores in the area offer 72 hour cancellation. Customer Service isn't like I remember Holiday Inn being in the 70's--more family oriented and helpful.
