Trailhead Hotel in Tupper Lake, NY

Room had a facelift except for the shower which was still the 1980s Blue Tile. The beds were comfortable. The other furniture was super cheap press board that was pretty worn. Curtains don't fully cover windows so street lights are visible. Locks on doors were coded and you received your code per your visit as there were no keys, key cards or a front desk for that matter. The rooms were generally clean. The rooms smelled heavily of airfreshner like a restaurant bathroom. Very overwhelming. Don't stay in lower level, you can hear everything. The best rooms for noise were away from the stairs and on second floor. 21-26 Very centrally located which made them ideal for a one night stay. Bfast was cereal and packaged muffins.

This hotel underwent a major makeover several years ago after it was purchased from a family who ran it for ages. The color scheme is black and white with contemporary fixtures, upgraded TVs and technology and an emphasis on being ECO friendly. The property, including rooms and pool, are well-maintained and attractive. Rooms are comfortable and bright and of average size. Newer furniture and lighting are tasteful and functional.||This is a contactless hotel where you have no human contact before, during or after your stay. Registration is done online by filling out a form and scanning and attaching your ID. A door code is emailed to you and there is no front desk to visit for check-in. It is all very sterile. Stayed here on the way to Saranac lake for a cheaper stay. There was an issue with the first room we were booked for but the staff member on the phone was very helpful and apologetic, and handled the issue quickly and professionally. The rooms are nice, and the hotel is very clean. The beds were very comfortable as well and we got a great nights sleep

Need a place near Lake Placid. This is about 40 minutes away . Distance was not an issue since we loved our accommodations. Comfortable room. Microwave, coffee maker & refrigerator. Staff couldn't have been nicer. They text to make sure everything was good. I would stay again without question.

Very nice rooms. Bed was comfortable and room was clean. Bathroom is nice but needs some kind of non skid mat in the tub as it gets very slippery when taking a shower.
