TownePlace Suites by Marriott Tempe at Arizona Mills Mall

This hotel is old and needs a complete redo. Right off of I-10. The room we are in the floor by the tub felt hollow. The tub felt like it might fall through the floor. The bathroom sink had a leak from the back. The staff is nice. This hotel is across the street from a Marijuana shop with a drive thru. People did smoke at this hotel. It was pretty bad. There was plenty of parking. I would pick differently next time.

Top of the line - staff, rooms, food, location. Not cheap, but well worth the expense. We had to stop when most roads were closed due to a snowstorm, and we were received with generosity, understanding, and warmth! Amy Smyth, evening front desk, and Theresa, morning front desk, are employees to be treasured - they are friendly, efficient, take care of details (like sweeping snow off the floor), and they smile! The suite was sparkling clean, beautifully appointed, and well equipped. Breakfast was awesome - the most choices I have ever seen. Highly recommended!

Positive: "" Negative: It was outdated and the room felt dingy and a bit unclean. Although we did like the little kitchenette. Breakfast wasn’t that great and their waffle maker was disgusting.

I stayed here for business trip but problem started right after checked in. Room temp. was 68F so I tried to turn off air conditioner from Thermoset on the wall but air conditioner was not off... Waiting 10 more min but cold air was keep coming out from Unit inside room. Room temp become 66F. I called front desk but guy said I have to wait few more minutes... Waited another 10min...Still air conditioner is working...Temp downed 64F. I called again front desk and their suggestion was "We will bring blanket..." Cannot change room due to all rooms were sold out.. This is totally not acceptable.....

We stayed here to catch an early flight outta Phx Sky Harbor. Rooms were clean, bed was decent, hot water in shower, area was quiet and parking here was easy. Only bad thing was when leaving at 4am, there was a homeless guy with his backpack attempting to make a bed under the stairs in the hallway. Kinda creepy. We did notify the front desk.
