TownePlace Suites by Marriott Raleigh-University Area

Enjoyed our time at this Marriott, stayed just one night and room was very clean. However, being a pet friendly hotel, our room did smell like cat urine. We decided it wasn't worth getting another room since we were only staying one night and our noses got accustomed to the smell. Overall I still think we had a good stay here, room had good AC, breakfast was decent, surrounding area was quiet, and staff was friendly during check-in and check-out. Probably would look elsewhere next time we're in town though, but it's not the worst hotel I've been in.

The room was very comfortable, nice stocked kitchen, clean bathroom, and good breakfast. Good location relative to highways. The only reason for taking a star off is because no one was at the front desk when we arrived at around 9:30 PM. We waited at least 5 minutes before a very nice gentleman arrived (smelling like he was coming back from a smoke break) and checked us in very quickly. But he wasn’t wearing any kind of uniform or even a name tag, and he didn’t ask to see our ID. We would stay here again, but that was off putting.

Very clean and good hotel. I will definitely stay there again. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Breakfast is good and gym is very good.

We stayed here for two nights and added a third at the last minute. We had to call Marriott directly for the change and to get the same rate, but it only took about 15 minutes. The front desk clerks were all friendly and helpful.|| We had a beautiful and spacious two queen bed studio. The room was very big. Beds were very comfortable. Full fridge/freezer, microwave, toaster, stove top, plates, serving wear, etc. Has large bathroom with tub. Plenty of towels and places to hang them. The room has a desk with 2 chairs, chair with ottoman and a big closet. Plenty of outlets for all electronics. A nice, clean and pleasant looking room. They have a bar and a fire pit. Excellent service and communication by the entire team. Breakfast by Kellen this morning was wonderful. Breakfast area was clean and well stocked. It’s obvious the team here takes pride in their work and surroundings.
