Beautifully restored mid century modern motel. Reminds me of the places I stayed as a kid in the 70’s. So glad this cultural landmark was saved and restored instead of bulldozed. Gorgeous spacious rooms and comfy beds. My morning coffee with Delaney at the front desk was a true highlight. She always greeted me with a smile and friendly convo. She’s a gem.
Absolutely atrocious. First of all - the walls are paper thin. This really is a Days Inn that got a fresh paint job 6 years ago, they left most of it alone, and now it's loosely re classified as a "luxury" property. The night manager, David, was outright hostile when I asked him to help get a party under control that was happening across the hall at 2:30 AM. Secondly: the rooms smell like mold. If you are a family or traveling for business, do NOT stay at this hotel, You're better off at a chain.
Stayed here in September for a wedding and had a great experience overall. I absolutely loved the retro vibe of The Longleaf — the attention to detail inside the hotel is really on point. The hotel bar and cocktails were amazing, and the patio area is super cute. It gets very lively at night, which added to the fun atmosphere. A few minor cons: the parking area could use some updating and doesn’t quite match how great the inside is, so I did question my booking at first based on the exterior. The hotel is also located at a very busy intersection right off the highway, which can make getting in and out a little tricky, and it’s not the most walkable location for bars and restaurants. That said, it’s very Uber-friendly and affordable. Overall, I was very pleased with my stay and would defi
Positive: Staff’s helpfulness and friendly nature Negative: An included basic continental breakfast would be nice
Honestly, this place kind of sucks. 1. the rooms are the most basic for a "hotel" that I have ever stayed at. There is no microwave. The fridge is tiny, and everything is very basic. The walls are very thin and you'll hear people having sex 2-3 rooms over. 2. Everything is a 20 minute walk away. Have fun with that. 3. There are much better hotels near whatever you need to do The only good thing here was the cleaning crew. DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND GO SOMEWHERE ELSE
