Timbers Motel

Motel is older which we knew. The room floors are not carpeted which was different for us but they were dirty. No general amenities in the room like an iron or hair dryer. Pool looked clean and inviting. The a/c gave the room a damp musty smell which irritated my lungs by morning. Overall it’s over priced for what you get. Maybe a last resort option.

Positive: "" Negative: no coffee maker in room. hair on sheets on one of the queen beds. was not able to check out early due to unforeseen circumstances.

The young lady that checked us in was so sweet. She was knowledgeable about the area and gave us an excellent recommendation for supper that evening. The room was very clean, and though it is an older motel, they are keeping it up nicely. No carpet in our room, which really helped with the cleanliness. The only thing we did notice is there was a small gap under the room door, so I would be surprised if the room doesn't get snow in it in the winter. I would gladly stay there again next time I'm in the area.

Unfortunately our room was disgusting. We were celebrating our anniversary and thought we would try a new little getaway. The carpet was beyond disgusting, I did even want to take my shoes off. When I did take my shoes off, I sweat the carpet felt soggy. I thought the counter was dirty but then realized it had burn marks all over it. One of the queen bed comforters had lipstick on it. We decided to try the hot tub after being incredibly disappointed about our room. When we turned on the jets to the hot tub, a pool of dead flies surfaced. We definitely did not go into the hot tub. The little gal at the front desk was amazing but I was not prepared to pay what we did for such a disgusting hotel room. Probably the grossest room I've ever stayed in. I would not recommend this hotel based on these facts: I requested room with Mountain View. The view was of the staircase. The room had just been refurbished and was clean, but smelled so badly of high VOC paint. I went to the front desk to let them know that we could not stay in that room. The clerk said, “well lots of guests have stayed there without complaint, and you can’t get your money back,” ; before offering a solution that was her go to answer. She also stated that because I had made my reservations on Expedia a refund was not allowed. The hotel grounds were 1 star. had the room not smelled toxic it was good enough for overnight. That’s all I have to say.
