Loon Lake 4H Camp

Our experience is unlikely to apply to you since we are currently here in mid September. There's no one here! We've got the place to ourselves. Bathrooms are open and there's even hot water. Electricity works. The solid, watertight cabin is nice and clean and it's so quiet! Lovely. This is not a luxury bed and breakfast. This is a rustic, kid's summer camp with no frills. No bedding. No complimentary bars of soap or chocolates. But, there are deer roaming around and there are canoes and stuff to play with in the little, private lake. If you are a camper, then I don't think you'll find a better campsite.

We recently hosted a family reunion at Loon Lake 4-H Camp with over 50 people ranging from toddlers to grandparents, and it was absolutely perfect. The camp is such a special place for families to reconnect and for kids to explore and play freely. We used all 13 cabins and had five delicious meals prepared for us in the main lodge—such a treat not having to cook for a crowd! The kids loved kayaking, paddle boarding, and playing on the lily pad at the dock. Evenings around the campfire were a highlight for everyone. The camp’s history adds to its charm, having been gifted to the Flathead 4-H Foundation in memory of Fred Hepburn. It’s clear that it was designed with community and connection in mind. Our family reunion was held at the Darrell Fenner 4H Camp. It was a great time & fun was had by all. Carol Olson & all who worked so many hours to get the camp open, Thank you!! Carol & cook staff, Yum!! The food was amazing! You were all so accommodating in every way possible. I can't say enough good about our stay. Highly recommend anyone looking for a place to hold an event to give this camp a call. You won't be disappointed.

Do not under any circumstances work with this venue or specifically Carol Olsen for your wedding as well as for any other events that may be important to you. I booked this venue back in November of 2021 for a wedding, me and Carol went over the details as well as what the venue had to offer two separate times, one of them being via telephone. Upon meeting Carol for the first time and looking at the venue in June of this year, six months after I had booked the wedding venue and three months before my wedding, she told us that we are not allowed to have any music whatsoever played as well as a PA system.
