Timberline Motel

Went for a business trip had a short stay it was a great place to make a pit stop. Loved the atmosphere and the views from my room. There was really good pizza place in town not too far away. Manager was great the owner was friendly. I must say that these people apart of a camp gave the owner a very hard time and he was so considerate and patient with them after how rude they were. I will definitely plan to come here again in the future!

Great place to stay, my wife and I stayed over the weekend and everything was great other than the wifi was a little tough to connect to but the manager helped me and was very courteous seeing as how we got there late Friday night. The fishing is great and they have a list of places to eat near there. Very easy access just off of ny17, very clean rooms, TV microwave and mini fridge. Very satisfied with the service and late night availability, would stay again

A zero review would be preferable. Terrible communication by this unprofessional manager. This guy is way beyond rude. If you give him your credit card number be sure to check your account. Absolutely terrible. I am not one to give reviews and am a laid back person but this place is definitely not to be considered when staying in that area. I have been visiting Hancock and Deposit to fish for over twenty years and stayed in several local motels. Any of them are better than dealing with this. By the way this guy let me know that he welcomed my bad review. Crazy.

One star is too generous for the management of this motel. We booked from overseas 2 months ago over the phone, spoke to Billy, gave him my CC details for confirmation, received an email confirming the booking (after learning that he wasn’t able to call international to confirm- the reason being he didn’t know he had to dial 011 to call overseas) and on the arrival day we are told that he doesn’t remember us, he doesn’t remember getting our cc details and he doesn’t remember sending me an email. When I told him that it was unacceptable and that I had a copy of the email! He had the nerve to say that he was fully booked but had 2 small rooms to offer at 100$ more that’s initial price! One advice - don’t book!!!

When we travel we like the more inexpensive places. I call this place a small price to pay for a great night sleep. I've been in better places, but this was everything we needed. Quiet, didn't smell, and comfortable bed. Only complaint was that the window didn't open.
