Hancock House Hotel

The guests for our wedding this past weekend stayed here and only had positive things to say! Rosie and the rest of the staff were so kind and accommodating and helped make this weekend amazing. They were especially helpful in ensuring our guests had all the information they needed for our welcome party and farewell brunch (at the hotel restaurant and bar, which were also excellent--thanks, Kim!) as well as the shuttle information to get to our venue day-of. The hotel lobby was even decorated beautifully for the season. If you're planning an event in the area, highly recommend Hancock House Hotel!

A hotel that doesn’t seem to have changed since the 1960s. The bedding is not very comfortable, the bed linen is yellowish, you sink into the mattresses, and the curtains aren’t very effective. The air conditioning is extremely noisy. A positive point goes to the staff, who are very friendly and accommodating. Poor value for money, as it’s very expensive for the level of quality.

The Penni a la vodka was excellent! However, the bartender ( we were told it’s the owner’s daughter) was horrible!! With only 6 other patrons, she walked right by us no less than 10 times, never even looked at us let alone the empty glasses right in front of her! Then stood not 6 feet away from us talking to coworkers! We finally had to flag down somebody else for refills. We had intended to book a party of 40 for drinks and dinner in December but I think we will book elsewhere! We have been to this place many times and never ever had such horrible service!

Everything and everyone including food service hospitality our room is immaculate,I can't say enough about how satisfied I am already and my first day out of three...I highly highly recommend this beautiful place to anyone looking for a enjoyable relaxing weekend.

Had such an amazing time that we decided to stay and extra day. The staff was amazing, restaurant served rather good food and the bar downstairs was awesome. Great hotel in a beautiful, small town.
