Green Acres Retreat

Diamond in the rough. My family needed a place to stay near my daughter's girl scout retreat and not too far from Elk Mountain ski resort... this was the best place that was part way between both places. I was a bit skeptical but was pleasantly surprised. Every room has been recently redone and custom decorated in boutique fashion. No two rooms are the same and every room is artfully decorated. The manager happily showed me a few of the other vacant rooms near ours and which were super cool. The owners are updating the exterior property and it looks fantastic. I had it in my mind that this would be a dive motel, but it turned out to be so much more. I highly recommend staying here if you need a place in the area. I LOVED our stay here. The room here was outstanding. This former motel has been newly redone into a modern oasis. The king bed was super comfy with a fleet of fluffy pillows. One wall was a mural of a waterfall. Every detail was thought through. The room has lots of amenities such as plates, toaster, microwave, coffee machine, ice in the freezer, complementary toiletries, a cute electric fireplace, and my favorite...big fluffy bathrobes. The bathroom was done in deep blue gray tiles with a rain shower head. The hair dryer was good quality. The towels were great. Best of all, they went all-out for our pup. Most places just charge a pet fee and provide nothing for the pet. Green Acres provided an orthopedic bed, raised food bowls, a doggie blanket, and treats! So our dog felt like he was

We absolutely loved our stay here. The rooms have been newly redone to give a comfortable modern spa feeling. We had the waterfall room, with a mural of a waterfall on one wall. The king-size bed was very comfortable with a fleet of pillows. Every detail was thought through and there were many amenities. Basically anything you can imagine plus some extras like a cute electric fireplace. I loved the fluffy robes! Best of all, They went all out for our pup. They provided an orthopedic bed, raised dog bowls, a blanket and even treats. The owner and on-site manager were super responsive. We had breakfast on the deck, enjoying the views. There's also a fire pit, a gazebo and picnic tables. I felt pampered and really enjoyed staying here.

An absolutely fantastic roadside motel. Stunning decor, and all of the accessories you could possibly need in your room. Despite the highway traffic, it was still very pleasant to sit by the fire pit and wait for the stars to come out. I would definitely stay here again! They have a beautiful kitchen/dining facility available for group retreats as well! Self check in and very fast communications from the owner.

The Green Acres Retreat is such a gem! Our room was beautiful with a great layout and décor, and the bed was unbelievably comfortable! My husband and I especially loved relaxing by the fire pit in the evening, watching the fire and the stars. We can’t wait to come back!
