I had such a great stay at the Thompson Hotel in Gold Coast Chicago. The views alone are worth it. Waking up every morning to snow falling over the lake and the city while working in Chicago felt genuinely special and grounding. The location is perfect right in the middle of everything but still calm enough to feel like a true retreat. Everyone I interacted with was friendly and welcoming which made the stay feel easy and comfortable from the start. I loved how walkable everything was. Sparrow became a go to for drinks, Lou Malnati’s for classic Chicago pizza, and Hendrickx for baked goods and coffee. The hotel restaurant Tavern also had solid breakfast options which made mornings simple and reliable. Pricing felt very reasonable for the area especially considering the views and overall

I had such an amazing stay at Thompson in the Gold Coast. The hotel itself is beautiful, clean, and perfectly located, but what really made the experience special was the staff.||A huge thank you to Myron, the doorman. He was incredibly kind, enthusiastic, and welcoming from the moment we arrived. On our last day, he helped us store our luggage while we took care of a few last minute things before heading to the airport, which made everything feel so easy and stress free. His energy and professionalism truly stood out.||This stay felt thoughtful and elevated from start to finish. I would absolutely come back and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Chicago.

Positive: The room was gorgeous, great views, great amenities, kind staff Negative: The doors in the hallways kinds slam shut, and you can hear it in your room. Made for noisy mornings between people leaving their rooms, and cleaning staff going in and out.

My wife and I enjoyed our stay at this hotel. Although it was for only one night, it exceeded all of our expectations. This location was prefect and within walking distance to a surprise celebration we attended. The price was right, the staff from check in to check out provided outstanding customer service, the room was clean, warm, and spacious! |I want to give a special shout out to “Myron” he was a delight 10 out of 10…Stay warm Sir!!

Perfect location. The hotel had a relaxing atmosphere even during the Bears game. Room was clean and the view looked out over the city. Service was amazing. Myron and Verdell at the front doors were attentive. They made sure to ask if we needed anything and also had good conversation.
