The Guesthouse Hotel

Great place! Great location! Give it a try, it’s worth it! Very fairly priced, the neighborhood is awesome! So many great places all around. The wife and I like to check out antique and comic shops and record stores and whatnot and this was the perfect place to stay. If you like great live music the Green Door is in walking distance.Tons of great bars and restaurants all around and the hotel has great local snacks and beers at reasonable prices. They found out my it was my wife’s birthday and left a nice gift. Very cool. Highly recommend.

Do not get dissuaded by the location . As a local, it’s the perfect home base for the city . It’s close to all the fun Northside neighborhoods and easy 15 minutes to get downtown . The hotel itself is perfectly decorated and cozy and clean . The little extra things for sale in the lobby add to the decor like Chicago themed craft gifts and cocktails . My parents are older and stay here for the holidays and the staff is super helpful . The parking garage is easy and a nice addition. The neighborhood right around the hotel is safe . It’s not as developed as others but there is no concern . A must stay for Chicago especially if you plan to be there for any amount of time .

Absolutely hands down the best travel experience. If I'm ever back in Chicago, I wouldn't dream of staying anywhere else. The hotel has so much character. The suites are the size of apartments. Super clean and well decorated. The pillows are akin to clouds. There is even solo garage parking for your car!! It's super close to all sorts of shops and dining. The staff is friendly and well knowledgeable of the area. 10's across the board!! ❤️

Perfect place for us! Location, convenient and comfort were all outstanding. the rooms were thoughtfully appointed and plenty of amenities stocked for our long weekend stay. we loved our stay and will be back!

We stayed in a three bedroom which is fantastic for a larger family. The kitchen is well stocked but was missing some essential baking items like pans. With that said it was still a great kitchen space. The bedrooms were spacious and cozy. The master bath had an amazing shower with steam. We appreciated the location, which was close enough to everything; we walked to many great restaurants and a concert at The Rivera. The staff was wonderful and helpful. They offered lots of great recommendations for food and activities. The beds are soft and the master bed was a bit too "broken in" for our likes. The room was very quiet and relaxing. The only other criticism I have is that the bathroom with the tub wasn't working properly, we could get the tub to fill up. We parked in a garage in the back
