The Windstar Hotel at Carolina Beach

I stayed here December 4-7, 2025, in one of the "Cozy" rooms, which is a minimally sized room. It was perfectly comfortable and quiet, and all one needed for an excellent stay. The queen-sized bed is moderately firm, not too firm, but just right for a good night's sleep. Extra pillows are provided. The staff are friendly and helpful and have recommendations for restaurants and sites readily available. The morning coffee and breakfast is better than most hotel breakfasts I've experienced. The room's air conditioner is quieter, as well, than most hotels, and makes for a peaceful sleep.|The rooms and bath were clean. I stayed at the Windstar hotel during the recent snowstorm. I had a great experience. I felt very safe there. The room and the common areas are very clean. I thought the breakfast was very good. It's simple and not fancy but the food was very good. But, what makes this place so special are the people that work there. The gentleman that works the night shift is the kindest most hard-working person. We had quite a bit of snow. He cleared the sidewalk to my car and cleaned the snow off of my car. He didn't have to do that. I didn't even ask. And he did it without gloves or snow boots. He went above and beyond for me. I would also like to mention their housekeeper. Positive: The staff were lovely, the breakfast was yummy, and everything went smoothly! My kiddos especially enjoyed the pancake machine, both for the entertainment/novelty and the tasty pancakes. Negative: My only complaint is the use of Styrofoam plates/bowl/utensils at breakfast. I would love to see compostable or biodegradable plates, bowls and utensils.

We had a great stay . Everything was extremely clean and it's very affordable compared to other hotels of the same style. Everyone was extremely nice and helpful for anything we wanted/needed. They also have a great pool that we enjoyed and if you want to go to the ocean it's only an 8 minute walk or 2 minute drive. We stayed for a few days and Samantha was the person who cleaned our room and kept it stocked with everything we needed so we didn't have to ask for anything. I suggest if you're going to Carolina Beach to stay for anything you need to stay there !
