Carolina Beach State Park Campground

Had a great time staying at one of the cabins. They are very basic, but you’ve got a roof over your head, electricity and AC, while still enjoying the campground feeling and nature. Felt safe staying there as a solo female traveler and will probably be coming back in spring. The showers in the bath-houses were mediocre and old-ish, but I didn’t expect a spa-experience on a campground anyway and it’s ok for a few nights’ stay.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ This was my first time camping at Carolina Beach and my boyfriend booked us a cabin for 4 nights. The cabin was cute and had enough space for us (plus bunks for kids if you bring family). Quick tip: bring your own bedding and maybe a little side table since the setup is simple. Each site has a picnic table, fire pit, and grill which made evenings fun. We stayed at Centennial Cabin and loved that it had 2 driveways and felt roomy. Lots to do nearby—fishing, crabbing, hiking, biking, and even rock hunting. Stores and bait shops are close too. The only downside was the bathhouse—it felt musty and wasn’t always clean during the day. Still, we had a great time and will definitely be back.

Great rates! Very spacious and level sites- some with full hook ups and some without. Extra areas with potable water and a dump station. Clean facilities and clean campground. Lots of trails and there are trees and bushes between campsites. Highly recommend!

We camped in our tent and had a great time! The sites are in the woods and offer privacy from other campers. We walked some of the trails and they were well taken care of. The staff and rangers were helpful and very friendly! We will be camping here again!

Just spent a great weekend at a wonderfully cared for campground. This is such a gem. Sites are large and private, meticulously maintained between each camper, great bathhouses and well done trails. I highly recommend. Easy access to the dog friendly beaches and Fort Fisher.
