Hampton Inn & Suites Carolina Beach Oceanfront

Our family stayed in this hotel for three nights in September 2025. The hotel rooms are in very bad shape. Ceiling paint peeling, bed frames and furniture breaking down, very dirty carpet. They also do not have enough cleaning staff. They forgot to clean our room on the second day (the only day that they committed to cleaning the room). The hotel manager himself told me that the hotel was supposed to be renovated last year, and they were training four new cleaning ladies. Bottom line, the hotel is in very bad shape, they cannot hire enough cleaning staff, and the employees just don't care.

Positive: Breakfast was decent. Negative: At first the room seemed clean until you took a closer look. We left our stay the second night because we could not take staying there anymore. The coffee maker had visible mold in it. The suitcase stand had mold on it. The shower was gross.

The location is beautiful and conveniently situated. The hotel rooms were spacious and, for the most part, clean. The bathroom wasn’t as clean as I would’ve liked; there were some dirt and stains on the seat and floor but overall it wasn’t too bad. Some rooms are always better cleaned and cared for than others, so that’s always a bit of a gamble. There was also an issue with the door leading to the balcony, so watch out for out that. Customer service was excellent, and the breakfast was great with a wide selection. Most importantly, they offered a turkey option, which I truly appreciated as someone who doesn’t consume pork. We will be back!

The rooms were clean & beds were comfortable with plenty of pillows. The complimentary breakfast had a great variety. The lobby and grounds were beautiful and well maintained. We were there in January, so the pool was closed, but it was a nice size and immaculate. The view of the beach was perfect.

Our family came stayed here for an overnight last week for the first time. I'll start off with the positives: Great customer service, was greeted warmly and check-in was seemless. We got there right at check-in at 4 p.m. mid-week and we were easily able to find parking. They advised us when checking in that parking will be $10 per night. We were okay with that and we didn't need to drive since shopping, dining and beach were all within walking distance. We were booked in rooms 300 & 412. Both rooms had amazing views of the Atlantic ocean 🌊 Easy access to the beach from the hotel. They have a pool, outdoor tiki bar lounge with an outdoor firepit.
