This place is awesome. Big comfy room, great staff, great location, free snacks and coffee all day. Strongly recommend, great value!

Had a nice 4 night stay at this little do-it-yourself bed and breakfast while in Cambridge for my grandson's graduation from Harvard. Located just off Main St. And Mass Ave. it's close to MIT but also walkable to Harvard, or you can walk to the Central T station or take Uber anywhere you need to go. Marc and Patty are the long time owners and keep the kitchen well stocked with breakfast goodies and eggs and breads and coffee. And, they own a pretty spectacular Chinese dumpling restaurant just down the street. Very nice people! They rent to a lot of visiting scholars. If you need to park your car, let them know in advance because parking is limited. Over all, it felt like a home away from home, and though our room was a bit small, it was clean and welcoming. We paid around $300 per night for the room and had relatively high expectations based on the positive reviews and the price we paid. However, upon entering the house and room, we were quite disappointed. The furniture appeared old, the room was small, and the carpet seemed dirty. Noise was constant whenever people walked around the house. Additionally, the hair dryer in the room was broken, and the air conditioner was very noisy throughout the night. Moreover, no free daily room cleaning was offered. To be fair, the kind host, the location (near MIT) and the complimentary snacks were the highlights of our stay. I was at a team building event, a cooking class making Chinese dumplings. It was really well taught and very enjoyable. The event was held in the inn's kitchen and dining area. There was another room for what we were doing. It was clean and we'll tended. It's a difficult part of Cambridge to park in, and the meters max out at 2 hours although it was a 2.5 hour class. There is some parking in the inn's driveway, can and nobody had any real problem finding a place to park. Overall, it was a great experience and I recommend it highly.

Patty and Marc were such hospitable guests. The bedroom was comfortable and clean, with attached private full bathroom for my girlfriend and I. Because of their private dumpling making classes, the house smelled of Asian dumplings, which is always a welcome scent in my book! Definitely recommending this location to friends and family looking for a short stay in Cambridge.
