The William Vale

This past week, I stayed at the William Vale for 3 nights while traveling on business. It was my first time at the property and hopefully not the last. A truly exceptional hotel with great on-site restaurants and bars, including the rooftop bar on the 22nd floor with phenomenal river and city views. Modern, impeccably clean, stylish, quiet, comfortable. My room on the 14th floor faced the river and had fantastic views from the balcony. Service by all staff was tremendous. I can’t say enough good things about this property and highly recommend it.

Positive: The View and The Westlight is beautiful. Great experience. The shower was amazing. Negative: The door would get stuck and shower door would not close. It was a dusty as well. Some of the lights did not work.

We recently had our wedding at The William Vale, and it was truly unforgettable. The hotel and event spaces are absolutely stunning. The views alone make it such a special place, but what really made the difference for us was working with Victoria. From start to finish, Victoria helped bring our wedding dreams to life. We planned everything in a short amount of time, and she was patient, kind, and completely invested in making it perfect for us. Her advice and recommendations made the entire process feel seamless and manageable. She was a huge reason we chose The William Vale, and we are so grateful for her. Excellent service at this hotel. This was their crowning star. Lots of friendly staff who are welcoming, professional and helpful. Sometimes places in Brooklyn can have staff who lack real training in hospitality. No smile, no greeting, no acknowledgment which always blows my mind. Not this place! They really stood out. Good job to whoever is in charge of the hiring and training of their staff. Hotel is clean and well maintained. Downstairs restaurant is large with a great menu and well decorated. Rooms are small with wood floors that feel cheap and cold… But beds are super soft and so comfortable. Great pillows and linens and robes and slippers. The room decor feels a bit cheap in my opinion. I booked for a room for a special occasion and I was really disappointed with my stay. Check‑in was slow and the front desk team wasn’t very friendly. The romantic setup was appreciated, but the bottle of wine wasn’t chilled at all. The spa QR code didn’t work, so we couldn’t access any information. Later, we asked for a make‑up remover kit; there wasn’t one in the room, reception didn’t answer after several calls, and what was finally brought wasn’t a real remover. Returning to the room, we were also surprised there was no coffee machine, unexpected for a hotel at this price point. Overall, for a night at that high price, the service and experience were far below expectations, especially for what was meant to be a special occasion.
