The Wilds

Modern and cool lil spot that fit a good amount of us! 4 queen sized beds, plus a large and comfortable sectional. Cute outdoor space, nice open kitchen and a good sized table. One bathroom and a tight/small spiral staircase that leads to the loft (where two queens beds are), but a great stay in the woods!

We visit the gorge quite often and have stayed in quite a few cabins. I will say this place is one of my favorites. We stayed at the Lewis. It is quiet and secluded, but not a far drive from the area's attractions (restaurants, natural bridge). Our first stay there was interrupted by weather and areas in the gorge were flooding. We were concerned we wouldn't be able to make it home. The owners were so kind and accommodating. They offered us another weekend at no charge. This place is peaceful, clean and cozy, with plenty of space and privacy. Once connected to the wifi we had absolutely no issues with our phones, talking and texting. I would highly recommend this stay!

I really wanted to love this place but I didn’t have the best stay. Part of this review is because of circumstances and my personal standards. We shared one of the modern loft cabins, The Lewis, for Thanksgiving. Overall, I’d stay there again, but the space needs some attention, which could make a 5 star. I would not bring young children if I were to stay here again. Some of the issues most likely come from cleaners turning the property too quickly or they have too much to do in a small amount of time. It wasn’t a bad stay but lots of little things added up. There are lots of big windows with great views. The house was very warm and comfortable despite it being 20 degrees outside. We stayed with another family in the home. Hands down the best place to stay in the Gorge! Clean cabins, creek, fishing pond with kayaks on it, trails, and the sunset overlook is breathtaking! And there are only a few cabins on the 100 acres! Our kids say it’s the most magical place and love the frogs, salamanders, and wildlife everywhere! Close to everything: 12 minutes to Kroger, and 15 minutes from the Gorge!

Went here this weekend with my sister. We had a great time. Cutest part is how the camp owners dog checks in on trail hikes or pops by your cabin to visit. Buddy is the best! Oh the hiking and sights weren't bad at all either!
