I had a great experience at The Westin New Orleans during my recent visit. As a traveler, I don’t really need much—just a clean room and kind people—and overall the hotel delivered on that. My room was clean enough and comfortable for my stay, though the bathroom could use a little refreshing. The shower/tub looked a bit worn and not completely white, which made it appear slightly dirty even though it seemed like it had been cleaned. It likely just needs to be refinished. I wear shower shoes anyway, so it wasn’t a huge concern for me, but it might be something the hotel could look into updating. The highlight of my stay happened during checkout when I met Amanda W. She was incredibly kind and asked about my stay. When I mentioned my concern about the shower, she listened carefully, took

Nice Hotel in great location. Very clean with friendly, helpful staff.|BUT... two things rubbed us the wrong way. First is that the hotel is located next to railroad tracks, and the early morning freight trains sounding their horns for minutes at a time are disturbing to your sleep and peace. The second issue, and most annoying is a "destination fee" that is clearly disclosed. This fee is an additional $30 per night. Supposed to be for conveniences that other chains provide for free. They tell you that you can get a credit ($15) for food, but then their food is so much more expensive than other options. Ex. We had breakfast one morning there, nothing excessive...and spent $70 in order to get a $15 credit. It didn't ruin our trip, but it was a factor that may have made me consider othe

Positive: Location, clean, professional staff, dog friendly, very comfortable room. Will definitely return to this hotel in the future. Negative: Bartender added a $100 plus bill to our room, which was not applicable. It was removed after being contested to management. Parking in very pricey.

The worst experience I have ever had at a 4 star hotel. Upon arrival the bellman didn't help us with our bags yet stood there and watched us bring in 6 bags. There were no instructions on how to get to the lobby. A gentleman finally told us after we went around the side we had to get on the elevator and go to the 11th floor. After checking in, the room was subpar at best but the view was nice. The beds were uncomfortable both of us woke up with back pains. The tv shut off on its own after about 2 hours and I had to climb under the desk to flip the surge protector to get it back on each time. The bathroom door wouldn't completely shut. A huge brown stain appeared in the shower ceiling while showering. Also there was no vent fan in the bathroom. The housekeepers only made the beds, didnt refil

The location is perfect. Central and walking distance to all attractions, yet in a quiet area, away from traffic and the noise of the busy areas. It was also outside the parade routes, which kept all options of going around open. The service was excellent. Any requests I had for the room were responded to within 10 minutes. Rooms are clean and nicely done. The observatory lounge, with its panoramic views of the city, had great vibes and good food. Friendly and wonderful staff.
