The Westin Milwaukee

If you are thinking of booking here for a wedding AVOID AT ALL COSTS. The staff at this hotel made this experience awful. I block booked for my wedding and it was the worst experience I have ever experienced at any hotel in my life. Of the 10-15 rooms of my wedding, here were some of the highlights: - double charged my father in law for his room. After months of following up by calling and emailing and being ignored by the staff, providing credit card statements and booking records they have not refunded. Sometimes when we called they straight up hung up on us. - shouted at my bridesmaid when they pointed out they had been billed already, turning around the monitor saying "LOOK FOR YOURSELF, IT'S NOT POSSIBLE", only to realize they had actually already double billed. - Jacked up the rate

The Westin is literally attached to the same building as my office via a skywalk, so could not be better in terms of location for me. For those wanting to vist Summerfest or the lakefront it is also perfect.||This is my first time staying in a Westin, so not sure what the baseline is. It is priced higher than other Marriott properties in Downtown Milwaukee, and quite honestly not sure it lives up to its price.||The check-in process went quickly, but the girl initially gave me a super boring room on the 3rd floor looking directly into the skywalk, so anyone walking past could see into the room. As a gold member I expected a little better, and went to ask her about it - to her credit, she found me a much nicer room on the 6th floor, but with the same layout.||The room was fresh and clean. Overall a very good stay. The staff was friendly and helpful, check in was smooth, and the location was convenient. The room was comfortable and quiet, and the amenities were solid. The only reason I am giving four stars instead of five is that the room could have been more tidy when we arrived. If housekeeping attention to detail improves, this would easily be a five star experience.

Positive: Location Negative: Price of the food at onsite in hotel for the quality of food and service. I wasn’t able to get late check out because I wasnt a member. But stayed at the hotel for national championship that was in the town.

Stayed here for a night and really enjoyed it. Rooms were spacious and great view of Lake Michigan. Stella van Buren was a really good in hotel restaurant. Although dinner took a while, breakfast was phenomenal. Because this Westin doesn’t have a lounge or buffet breakfast, the vouchers that the front desk gives you covers an entire meal per person. Our server Dalip was great, constantly checking in and refilling water.
