The Westin Flushing LaGuardia Airport

This Westin advertised themselves as the only 5-star hotel in Flushing, so the expectation was set based on this. Sadly, it disappointed us in many ways, and some were due to the Westin brand itself rather than this particular hotel. 1. Westin used to have very comfortable beddings, but unfortunately someone decided to change this in the last year. Before the change, they had the perfect pillows with just the right thickness and firmness, but they changed to very thick and hard ones - this type of pillows are usually only found in low-cost hotels. The comforter also became less comfortable after the change. Sleeping in a Westin has turned from an enjoyable experience to a challenge. These changes are universal to the whole Westin brand, not specific to this hotel. 2. The pool closes 1-5P

Stayed at hotel to be better positioned for an early morning flight. Check in was efficient. Room was clean. However airport shuttle only runs 1x/hour. This meant we needed to rely on taxi or uber to get to the airport which was anywhere from $30 to $50 each way.

It’s a brand new luxury hotel with good staff service.  Room is clean and modern

I recently stayed at The Westin for one night, which was my first time at this property. While the surrounding neighborhood was just okay, the hotel itself was fantastic. My room was a decent size and the entire hotel was very clean. I wouldn’t say the decor or design particularly wowed me, but it was functional and pleasant. This was the second Westin I’ve stayed at that is close to an airport. The only other airport Westin I’ve visited was at LAX, and that one was, frankly, hideous. What I liked most here was the exceptional service during check-in and check-out. Albert, who assisted me at check-in, was gracious from the start, and I believe it was Karen who helped me at checkout. Both were excellent. I recently stayed at The Westin Flushing LaGuardia Airport, and while the hotel looks relatively modern and the renovation itself is decent, the overall experience was disappointing, especially considering the price of around USD 300 per night. First, during check-in, the front desk did not inform me that bottled water is limited to only two bottles per stay, regardless of how many nights you stay. After that, guests are expected to refill bottles at the hotel’s water center. Unfortunately, I had already thrown the bottles away, assuming bottled water would be replenished daily, and ended up without any drinking water. To make matters worse, the coffee maker in the room was broken upon arrival and was only replaced the next day. The tap water also required sitting for a while before use,
