The Westin Chicago River North

Went for new yrs eve, the place was great. We got a river view room. Bed was nice, shower was warm. The bar was good for drinks and appetizers. There was a wedding reception goin on and there was enough room for them, plus the hotel guest in the dining/ bar area. Only thing that was negative was i am a marriott good member and the lady checking me in didn't recognize it. No biggie we were still giving a late check out. And everything was great

I used my marriot reward silver elite silver certificate to stay at this location for the Chicago bears game. Upon arrival the valet was very nice and offered direction to the game. The front desk did also. I checked in packed on some clothes and we made the walk to the game. It was freezing! Upon arrival back to the hotel we were looking forward to a hot shower and relaxation. The water was cold. Never got hot. When I let the front desk know they said they would put a note in the account. They charge a 30 $ destination fee for Starbucks hotel service like breakfast a work out or other choices. The star buck is not at all star buck just the coffee only and are very limited to very basic coffee espresso cocoa some juice fruit and danish or muffin. Very disappointed. We were looking forward

We got a river view room for a weekend visit. The staff are very kind and helpful. Staff always had a smile on their faces and answered any questions without hesitation. Room was clean and comfortable..The bed is warm and cozy which is nice when you are away from home. The only down side was you can hear the neighbors talking, which stinks at 2 am...we only had drinks at the bar so can't comment on the food quality, but the bar staff were nice as well. The hotel is in a good location and we were able to walk to a variety of restaurants and entertainment. We would definitely stay here again.

Had an amazing stay at this hotel. You can definitely tell the difference between this and lets say springhill or other private owned Marriott branches. The customer service was top teir, and the doormen were amazing and friendly. They took care of all my benefits without me even asking. Normally i have to ask for my "free" water bottle and half the properties say they dont even have it. The executive loung was really nice and over looked the River. The morning staff was awesome. The gentleman with the name that started with a K (it was unique) was absolutely amazing and friendly. I truely enjoyed seeing him in the morning and talking with him. This has had to be one of my most enjoyable hotel stays, i really wish they were all like this.

The desk was very friendly, and the location was great! We enjoyed morning coffee on the patio of the hotel - right on the river- which was very nice. The hotel was very clean. Interior was clean, simple, nice, but nothing exceptional or anything to make you say "wow"! Rooms were clean, but there was no housekeeping service. We were happy to be able to have our dog! Parking was offsite, and there was no valet or door service on a weekend. We had hoped for an upgrade since the hotel was not busy at all, and we had 4 people and a lab, plus we have been members of the rewards program for years, but did not receive one. It was a nice stay, but not one I would consider exceptional.
