The West Main

We loved our stay at the West Main. The apartment/ suite was lovely. Beautifully appointed and thoughtfully furnished. The owners thought of every detail- all the kitchen furnishings you would ever need, wonderful bedroom and the prettiest bathroom I’ve seen in a long, long time. The location is perfect- walking distance to great restaurants (The Mulberry House was our favorite) and the waterfront. We will definitely stay there again next time we are in the area

The West Main is truly a gem and one of the best places we’ve ever stayed. Our room was lovely, beautifully appointed, and even included a kitchenette—perfect for longer stays. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and the walk-in marble shower felt like a spa experience. The entire hotel has been thoughtfully renovated to preserve its historic architecture and charm, featuring original exposed brick, restored historic flooring, high ceilings, and a stunning marble bathroom with a walk-in shower. A major bonus is the 1906 Bistro & Bourbon Bar located directly downstairs, offering delicious food and a wide selection of beverages. The location is unbeatable—just steps from the Pamlico River waterfront and right in the historic district, with plenty of shops and restaurants nearby. Self-service

We loved our recent stay at The West Main. Everything was spotless, beautifully decorated, and thoughtfully set up. The remodel of this historic building is stunning! We really appreciated how they preserved the character while giving it such an inviting, modern feel. The location couldn’t be better. Being right in the center of downtown made it so easy to walk to shops, restaurants, and everything we wanted to explore. It was the perfect blend of convenience and charm. We had a wonderful experience and would absolutely stay here again!

THIS WAS AMAZING! We are local people who stayed here because of a conference I was hosting and we wanted to be near our guests who were also staying here and all throughout downtown. This room is the best local staycation! The room is exquisitely furnished and outfitted with all the things you would need. So convenient to all the things including the Bourbon bar. The bed was very comfortable and the shower was perfect. My guests filled up The West Main and we enjoyed seeing all the rooms. Whether you are “staycationing or traveling from a far to our sweet little town this is an easy YES! I will be highly recommending it to my traveling visitors.

My wife and I had a fun yet laid back Valentines Day. Dinner was a short walk from our room as well as a brewery that sat right on the water. The room was unique and cozy. Felt like a downtown apartment. Perfect for a quick romantic get away.
