Fairfield by Marriott Inn & Suites Washington

I checked into the Fairfield Inn in Washington, North Carolina on December 26th at 7 PM. By 10:30 PM, I had to go to the front desk due to bedbugs crawling up the wall. I had already killed several of them by the time I got there, and the hotel staff helped collect a few more using a water bottle. I was offered a different room, but given the number of bugs I saw, I declined and asked if I could sleep in my vehicle instead. I requested that the hotel manager, Stephanie Alligood, call me the next day to resolve the issue and expected compensation in the form of points for the inconvenience. Unfortunately, I never received that call. After following up myself, I was told the manager would call me in a couple of days, but instead, she only sent an email. We were at the Fairfield Inn with family and friends to attend a family wedding. The accomodations were excellent as was the service. The front desk people were very friendly and most helpful. Breakfast was excellent with many choices and cookies in the afternoon were an nice addition along with coffee and tea all day.

Positive: Location Negative: The air-conditioned had water on the floor carpet was wet.The toilet, the handle wouldn't flush every time, so we had to take lid off the sank to flush We told housekeeping, they said they would tell someone. The front desk said thanks

This was not a bad experience, but not very good either. The lobby staff was very pleasant and helpful. The room was very basic, and the only chair was very uncomfortable. Look carefully at the descriptions of the various rooms on offer. The WiFi connection in the room was poor. The free breakfast was appreciated but the quality of the muffins was not appealing. The entrance space of the hotel is quite large, mostly for the breakfast tables; the lobby is otherwise pretty austere, with a few armchairs and a large padded "sofa" setup. All in all, not what we expected as a Marriott Bonvoy!

My colleague and I were in town on business and stayed here for about 2 days. The room was clean, quiet & my stay was very comfortable. HOWEVER I want to give special thanks to Tyrell Carter! I have travelled all over the world and this young man exhibited world class professionalism and class. From the time we walked through the front doors he was extremely pleasant, respectful and truly set the tone for my experience at the hotel. He is an Allstar and I recommend going there, I don't know if it's how they train their customer service reps but you will have a wonderful stay
