The Ell Hotel

We’re local, but booked a stay just to have a special weekend. The room was exceptionally spacious! The bedding was comfortable, and entire venue was lovely and very quiet. The only thing that could have made the stay more enjoyable would have been a true B&B breakfast both mornings. Glad we stayed. Look forward to another stay!

I booked the Ell hotel for my family's trip to Washington, NC. (6 of us and our well behaved dog). What a wonderful experience. The hotel is a fantastic southern home filled with historical charm. If you stay be sure to walk the neighborhood to see the other homes in the area. The home is historic, but the rooms are all modern, clean and well-appointed with modern high-quality beds and linens - very comfortable. Ellen was a pleasure to work with, and she was available, responsive and provided personal attention throughout the planning and our stay. 5 star experience, don't hesitate to book this charming home for your stay in Washington!!

Great spot. Had a mishap with travel plans and was scrambling last minute for a place for my dog and I to stay. Thankfully, I ran across this spot on AirBnB. Super easy check-in. Seamless communication with the host the entire time. Great experience 10/10 recommend.

My group occupied the whole house for our friend’s wedding. We could not have chosen better! They allowed us to host a brunch for the wedding group. The entire weekend was absolutely perfect. The rooms are absolutely huge. My only suggestion would be more hangers to hang all the formal stuff and a full length mirror. It was a little hard to get ready; I couldn’t see myself! I did go downstairs and use the first floor room.

This wasn't my first stay at one of Ell's properties, but my first stay at the Harbor District hideout. As always, Ellen's properties make for the perfect stay. The Harbor District Hideout was perfect for my trip - location was great as I could walk everywhere. The apartment was very clean with modern amenities. The bed was incredibly comfortable!! Communication was quick and easy as was the check-in process. I will continue to stay at Ell's properties when returning to Washington in the future!
