The West Hollywood EDITION

We were very excited for our stay, but every experience I fell short of expectations. Our room on the third floor looked at a concrete wall, derelict building, and parking lot. No views over LA which is why we had picked WeHo. When we checked in we learned the pool would close at 6:30, but when we went to the rooftop to enjoy the pool at 5:15 we were told the pool closed at sunset. The rooftop pool was one of the reasons we had chosen the hotel, so my kids were naturally very upset. No welcome amenity as promised. No upgrade as adjusted. Staff throughout were ambivalent and indifferent. The following morning, my son went to play billiards at 9 AM in the lobby only to be told the table did not open until 3 PM. This is hands down the best hotel experience I’ve had in West Hollywood. I’ve stayed at luxury properties like the The Ritz-Carlton and Waldorf Astoria Monarch Beach Resort & Club in Orange County, and the level of service here truly stands out. We were celebrating my birthday, and Ernest (the hotel manager) absolutely made our trip. He was attentive, kind, and handled everything with such professionalism. Any small issue we had was resolved immediately and with genuine care. He also made sure our birthday celebration felt special and stress-free, which meant so much to me and my friends. Exceptional customer service is rare, and Ernest represents this hotel so well. We will definitely be back!

The staff here is great. Joti especially is very considerate and attentive. She kindly upgraded our room to a Villa Suite for my husband’s birthday and sent up a sweet treat with a birthday card. Our room was very lovely and the view was stunning. We enjoyed how clean and quiet the room was. We even had a large private balcony that gave us a sweeping view of the city and wonderful natural light. We enjoyed the sunset and sunrise. The Rooftop has the best view in the area and amazing food and drinks. I would definitely recommend a stay here.

I love Edition brands and after seeing mixed reviews wanted to try the Edition in LA on my most recent trip. Ignore the haters cause The hotel is truly so modern and beautiful. Once you arrive at this beautiful property all you can do is admire. There is so much attention to detail. Truly one of the most stunning properties in this country. The hospitality was excellent throughout the property. The hotel was definitely busy for the Grammys this weekend and it was still so serene, comfortable and peaceful. It’s truly paradise here. Cannot recommend it more! Can’t wait to return on my next LA visit!

I genuinely cannot believe this is considered a “luxury” property. Staying at the The West Hollywood EDITION felt less like a premium hotel experience and more like booking a front-row seat to a nightclub I didn’t ask to attend. The noise is absolutely outrageous. Between the thumping bass from the hotel’s own nightclub and the nonstop chaos from Sunset Strip, I’m not sure how anyone is supposed to sleep. The walls and windows seem to have the sound insulation quality of a tent. For a property charging luxury-level rates, you would expect at least basic soundproofing. Instead, it felt like the DJ was performing in my closet until 2 a.m. What’s most frustrating is that this is not some budget hotel. It markets itself as high-end, serene, and exclusive.
