The Trinity Hotel & Restaurant

We read about this hotel on TripAdvisor and I was a bit skeptical of the reviews. ||The hotel is lovely. It’s a quaint surprise in a great location if you are visiting Carlsbad. It’s about 30 minutes to the Caverns and right downtown. ||We stayed on the second floor (205 I think?). As others have noted the first floor rooms open to the street. The upstairs rooms have a hallway that can be accessed by a very steep staircase behind a door on the main street or a metal outdoor staircase from the back parking lot. ||Not every room has controls for the heating and cooling. The vault room does not have one. Ours did. ||The room was outfitted beautifully. There are quirks. The plumbing is a bit … toilet flush is a bit iffy and the sink pressure is like a fire hose. Holy Cow THIS PLACE IS A MUST! It is mind blowing to find this awesome little place. My girlfriend and I both loved it. The room was very nice and impeccably clean. We paid $40 more bucks to sleep in a room wiith an old bank vault inside! AND there was a hot tub IN THE ROOM!!! The tv connect flawlessly to my phone and we were able to stream Amazon prime from my phone. The bar downstairs was fantastic and sold amazing bottles of wine we took back to the room with desert! To top it off we came in at 8pm and we were greeted by the owner Dale who really made this experience so cool. We loved this history imbedded into the hotel. We recently stayed in Room 206 at the Trinity Restaurant and Hotel and had a wonderful experience. The room was clean, comfortable, and well-appointed, providing a perfect base for our trip. One of the highlights of staying here is the convenience of the on-site restaurant. The food was exceptional, and the atmosphere was both welcoming and sophisticated. The staff throughout the hotel and restaurant were attentive and made us feel right at home. If you’re looking for a place that combines great hospitality with excellent dining, I highly recommend the Trinity. We will definitely be back!

With very few options late at night, my husband and 8 year old son and I were able to enjoy a great dinner at the Trinity Hotel restaurant. We sat at the bar and Alayna waited on us. They had been slammed and she did an amazing job! The food was good and reasonably priced! But her service made the evening! We will be back!

Cool historic building and nice staff, just went for dinner. Enjoyed the steak but the sides were frozen and reheated rolls that I recognized from the supermarket, bland but not a huge deal. Deducted stars because there was a roach that climbed out of the wall behind me and had made its way onto my seat back before I noticed, ik its a very old building and can be hard to combat pests and such but it was a little startling during dinner
