The Tremont House, Galveston, a Tribute Portfolio Hotel

We stayed here before our cruise with the park & sail option and everything was seamless. From check in to the beautiful rooms, and all things in between, we have had an excellent experience. While we were eating breakfast at Blum & Co the morning of our cruise, one of the staff fell and injured her leg I believe. The restaurant was super busy, but who I believe was the manager went to tend to her and the other staff kept the food and drinks coming. I had easily the best latte I have ever had, and the breakfast was delicious. The staff was working so hard and I know there were probably some disgruntled guests, but they were amazing. We definitely recommend staying at Tremont House while visiting Galveston!

We enjoyed our stay and the location can’t be beat if you want to be near the cruise port and the strand. However, if you have issues navigating stairs, it might be difficult. You have to go up stairs to enter the hotel and to access the elevator for the room we stayed in. They gave us an accessible room (we didn’t request, but it was what was available). |We were approved for a 12:30 pm check out but know that they have lots of cruisers checking in and it may not always be available. The keys are disabled at noon on the dot. We returned for our bags at 11:58 am and were locked out. ||The room was very comfortable, clean, and beautiful. All of the employees we interacted with were very friendly. The live music was great from 6-9 on Thursday at the lobby bar area.

This is an absolutely gorgeous hotel! I’ve stayed at other popular resorts in the Galveston area, but nothing compares to the luxurious and beautiful decor here. I prefer staying at the strand since it’s close to all the nice restaurants and things to do, the historical aspect is also nice! I reached out to the events team with a last minute plan to assist my brother with his proposal to his now fiancée during their stay. Korry and his team went above and beyond to assist with the planning and coordinated with my family to make it as seamless as possible. It’s rare to find a staff that cares so much about their guests and truly makes any type of event special. I can only imagine how spectacular other bigger events and weddings are here. Home from our Merry Christmas cruise 🚢 on the Disney Magic. We truly enjoyed our pre cruise stay at the Tremont House! Beautiful rooms and very efficient friendly staff. Especially Denise at the front desk who checked us in to hotel and answered our questions. Lora was also very helpful and friendly as she helped us with our luggage. The Tremont Shuttle took us to the ship and picked up on our return. Valet had our car ready at the curb for easy loading of the luggage and for our trip home. We will definitely stay with them again!
