Beautifully renovated inn, restfully uncluttered design and soothing decor. Nice heated pool, outdoor shower, outdoor restroom, loaner bikes, great location. I can only dink the place for limited service/food amenities. The lone attendant is only on site from 8-10 am. Check in is at 4 pm, why not have someone on hand to greet guests from 4-6 and offer a welcome beverage and local tips? The complimentary bagels from the place across the street were fresh and tasty…but only cream cheese as a topping. Cmon, level up a tiny bit and offer some local honey and TX made jams, and get rid of the disposable paper trays and plastic cutlery. The Mansard House was everything we had hoped for and more. My husband and I booked this for our 35th Anniversary trip and we are so glad that we did. The charm of the inn exceeded our expectations. It exuded the unique style of historic Galveston blending modern conveniences with circa 1900 charm.||We stayed in Suite 21 that offered a generous 540 square feet with a separate living room from the bedroom. The room was so comfortable, spacious, well-appointed and clean with high-quality furnishings and amenities. Possibly my best experience. Certainly it is in Galveston. Quiet, calm, and elegant in my honest opinion. My wife and I enjoyed everything from the wonderful scent that fills the air the soft welcoming music entering our room. The rooms are just amazing. I cant wait to stay again and I highly recommend it.

The Mansard House is a great place to stay on Galveston Island. It’s centrally located between the downtown historic Strand area and the beach. The rooms are clean, spacious, and quiet. The property grounds are its own oasis with a heated pool. It’s the perfect place to relax and read a book or hang out with your friends. Also, if you’re celebrating an event, The Mansard House can help create that special moment. A luncheon with your best gals near the pool. Overall, it’s a great place to stay whether it’s a staycation or vacation.

We loved our stay at The Mansard House! The property is really nice and private, perfect for the couples getaway we had in mind. Upon arrival, accessing the property and room was seamless. We both agreed it was nice to not have to keep track of a key card as all of the entry doors had a code that’s provided ahead of check-in. Designated parking onsite made coming and going easy, and the cost is included in our room so no additional parking fees. For our stay we booked one of the king suites, which was more spacious than we expected. Stand outs for us were, the shower size, full body mirror in the bedroom, lots of windows and natural light, mini fridge and our site had two closets and two luggage stands.
