The Terraces at The Grove Resort & Water park

I was not happy with my stay from the moment we got there we went to the pool area to try to have a good time for my daughters seventh birthday. They closed it down only after being able to use the slide two times we were not able to enjoy our evening. I understand that the weather is out of your control, but for somebody to go out of their way to spend time at this place there has to be something you can do. Not to mention when checking in our room it was 80° in there. The thermometer was not in working condition. They had to call maintenance to come up into our room and fix it because it was like a hot box. That took more time out of our stay. I’m currently staying at The Grove Resort on the Terrace side, and this has been a very disappointing experience. When I pulled back the sheets in my room, I found old stains that looked like blood. I called the front desk at least three times, and after being told “someone is coming,” all they did was drop off towels instead of the sheets I asked for. I ended up having to sleep on the uncomfortable pullout couch with my mom and son. The next morning housekeeping brought sheets but refused to make the bed until I demanded it. Management offered complimentary parking as compensation, which does not come close to making up for this. The resort looks nice on the surface, but the cleanliness and service were unacceptable.

I traveled with my family from Southern California and had booked this resort months in advance—we were really looking forward to our stay. Unfortunately, the experience was disappointing from the moment we arrived. The room did not meet our expectations: the flooring was cracked and lifting as we walked, the microwave didn’t work, and the advertised shuttle service—which was supposed to run every 30 minutes—was unreliable. I emailed the hotel with my concerns on the first day, but I never received a follow-up or even a courtesy check-in from management. Given the price, I would not recommend this resort.

Grove went major down hill since the first time we visit this place. The checking process takes forever since the staff is so slowwww! I had to wait in line to check in for 30 minutes and that too at 8pm! Staffs NEVER answer texts messages. I texted and called a million time regarding a noisy fan in the master bedroom- I need fan to sleep and yet NO ONE came. Until 3 days before we were leaving (we stayed 10 nights) and all he did was look at it and said I’ll be back with a ladder and never came back. Unbelievable! They also don’t text back regarding pool closing and opening during thunderstorm- which happens here a lot!!! So how are u suppose to know? Keep checking by going to the pool from the 6th floor??? I had a really disappointing stay at The Grove. Right from check-in, the front desk staff seemed more interested in pointing out issues than actually helping me fix a reservation mistake. There was no sense of customer service or willingness to make things right. Unfortunately, that attitude continued with everyone else I interacted with — the pizza counter, the store clerk, the gate staff, even the manager. At one point, someone from housekeeping came to bring towels and started pounding on the door aggressively, even after I responded. It felt completely unnecessary and uncomfortable.
