The Edgewater Hotel B&B Style Inn (Winter Garden)

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Edgewater Hotel in the Heart of Winter Garden, FL. The hospitality and customer care was prominent from the moment we stepped in the door. The historic atmosphere with necessities tucked in made this hotel a grand experience. The breakfast was delicious and the hostess, Lila, was very sweet. They also keep hot drinks and snacks available at all times. Our bed was comfortable and the room was spacious and well equipped, even while staying within the historic guidelines.

We had an amazing time at the Historic Edgewater Hotel! The staff is very friendly and the rooms are beautifully decorated! We enjoyed the delicious breakfast in the morning! It was very sweet of the guests and our server singing Happy Birthday to me at the breakfast table! We enjoyed talking with the other guests! The ice cream was out of this world! We will definitely be returning again in the near future!

Five star experience. Cannot praise this place enough. Super unique and a step back into time. The decor was beautiful, quaint and comfortable. The staff- which I believe is all family- was super nice, accommodating and attentive. Really loved staying there and the location is spot on, the amenities are abundant, and the room is comfortable. A really nice breakfast is provided with a nice selection to order from or help yourself at their stations with extra items. Complimentary items available as well to grab and go. I live 30 minutes down the road and I want to go back already :-)

It is perfectly located in the WG downtown area. Being a historic place adds to the charm of Winter Garden. The rooms are decorated to reflect the era when the hotel was built. Great service with a lot of attention to detail. The breakfast was disappointing, though. I would have expected something a bit more sofisticated given the fact that the restaurant next door serves amazing food. Another thing they could change is the check-in process. Having to call someone to check in is not practical. But I guess it's part of the charm. Make sure to read the guidelines they give you at the time you check in because it has the answer to a lot of questions you'll need to know, like how to lock your door and how to turn the shower head on. Don't forget to check the seating area at the end of the hall

We love the Edgewater. It is in one of the most walkable and vibrant human-scale downtowns in Florida. Alicia and Lila and the crew are so very friendly and helpful. Breakfasts are included and are GREAT. The hotel has a great history and is, according to Max - the guy who saved it from destruction - the most totally restored place in Florida. Rooms are furnished in 40’s period furniture. Only 2 concerns - the plumbing (like hot/cold water control) can be tricky and the elevator requires an operator so be prepared to used the stairs. Rooms are on 2nd floor.
