The St. Regis is a cut above. Rooms are well appointed, beds are comfortable and yes, the toilet seat is heated. Good food options and a welcoming bar. Don't miss the bottle opening at 6:00. Convenient to most tourist spots. My second stay here and both were of an equal level of high quality.

Had a great trip to DC this weekend! First time staying at the St. Regis and we were well taken care of. |Our room wasn’t quite ready on arrival so we were treated to a drink at the bar. Our toddler was spoiled with popcorn and a stuffy so she couldn’t care less!|Our room was clean and spacious. We were treated with cake on arrival in celebration of my birthday. |The following day we interrupted our housekeeper, Yolanda who could not be more friendly! She brought our daughter a toddler sized robe that she loved. Later that evening after dinner we returned to find a step-stool and toddler sized slipper that were just darling! We recently stayed at the St. Regis DC for a romantic overnight Valentines date. Our room was nicer than any we've ever stayed in at a hotel. It had beautiful decor and character. The bed was extremely comfortable and it was so quiet - we both slept better than we have in a long time. The room was filled with nice touches, such as a mini bar, glasses and barware, a bose sound system and bathrobes/slippers. The shower is large and had great water pressure. We enjoyed breakfast delivered to our room and the service was top notch - the food was also delicious. At 6 pm, we joined the champagne toast in the lobby and thought that was an awesome tradition to share with guests. We had a drink at the bar and the bartenders were incredibly friendly. Put it on your bucket list to stay here around Christmas and see the hotel decorated to the 9's. Be a part of the champagne experience under the Christmas tree as they open the bottle with a saber and tell you the story behind it. Truly a hospitality icon and legendary tradition within those walls. Amazing check-in experience as well. The bar and whole building have amazing history. Speaking of the bar you must go and have a drink, they will also serve you in the lobby when it's busy. Excellent service and prices to match the luxurious ambiance. 4 star review because we stayed to celebrate my wife and no amenity was offered, not even a note. Which seemed like a big oversight in this caliber of establishment. Additionally, even after the remodel, the majority of rooms here just aren't that
