The Shades Motel

You will not find a nicer motel room than at The Shades. My experience: I had the king size suite with jacuzzi. Immaculate! Shower shined, sheets spotless, jacuzzi super large with powerful jets…tv great and large refrigerator and microwave. also super clean. Whoever their housekeeper is must be some one with cleaning powers. You don’t get this nice of a roomwith some 5 star hotels. Also, the people who run the motel are extremely friendly. Next time we are in Baton Rouge, we will book at The Shades.

Some of the motel rooms have been there for several years, some parts have new rooms, we got one of the older ones, the room was a pretty good size the bed was good...for the money it was good...our room had a little bit of an odd smell, I guess it was a given seeing the age of the room. I really would not have had any complaints, but we are on the road working third shift and all we usually ask is no housekeeping, so we can sleep...I keep everything clean. When we requested that, the man said no, my cleaning was not like their cleaning, that did't go over well with me, I know how I am with being clean...anyway we ask if it could be every other day ,he said ok. Everyday they were banging on the door, everyday another guy was banging on the door wanting to exchange the towels..I mean come

Great value for the price that you'll pay.. The front office staff is courteous and receptive

My husband I have stayed here more than a few times and frankly this motel is the most decent and cleaner than most of these motels here. The customer service is nice and very prompt. Theses people are truly nice and considerate of their guests concerns and needs. Thank you!
