Tanglwood Resorts

Diane and her staff were tremendous. The room was comfortable and clean. It had all the essentials to make it feel like a home away from home. There were fall festivals going on in the local area. There were a lot of sites in the area as well as a large, beautiful lake that is outside the window of this resort. The lake provides all types of activities throughout the year. Great place to visit.

Clean, renovated room with full kitchen, large bathroom and balcony overlooking the lake. We were fortunate to meet and get to know Virginia and Tony while eating at the Lodge restaurant. Food was excellent! Overall, a very pleasant experience!

Positive: The lake across the street Negative: It was not very clean and there was nothing to do there.

I would strongly advise anyone considering VRI Tanglwood Resort to stay away, as we have been owners since 2013 and, despite our contract being fully paid off, they will not let us cancel our account. What was promised to be a 60-minute presentation turned into a 5-hour high-pressure ordeal where we were cycled through four different representatives until we purchased. Since then, we have discovered that the "anywhere in the world" points system is nearly impossible to use due to limited availability and the fact that most destinations require more points than we earn. On top of that, we were blindsided by annual maintenance fees that increase without notice, administration fees to use our points, and additional costs for RCI memberships and point extensions. The resort is really old and not kept up it really needs remodeling the dryer was broke the living room furniture was old and dirty had to put sheets on it to be able to sit down ,but we made the best of it
