Customer Reviews
We decided to stay at this hotel because we were traveling to DC by train and this hotel is barely a 5 min walk from Union station. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable. The service was excellent. Everyone at the front desk was cheerful and polite. Our coffeemaker stopped working the second day. Soon after we called the front desk about it, a staff member responded. After his attempts to make it work failed, he quickly not only replaced the coffee maker, but also got extra supplies of water, sugar and coffee. We got a $12 discount per night from the restaurant. We did have breakfast in the restaurant twice, but the food there was a little too decadent/heavy for our taste.
We stayed here when they first opened and couldn't have been more impressed. The suite with the view of the postal museum and Union station was truly epic! Huge layout with lots of quality details and impressive windows! The staff here were so kind, from the front desk to the valet, just awesome! An employee even carried our pack n play to our room for us and refused no to accomodate us. The restaurant downstairs is also absolutely delicious. We will be back!
Excellent location, near Capitol Hill and all the nearby monuments and museums. The rooms are very spacious with excellent amenities, including coffee makers Staff were courteous
What an amazing hotel. I would highly recommend staying here. It’s centrally located to stores and restaurants, it’s very clean and aesthetically appealing. I had a king city view room. It was gorgeous and nicely designed. The day shift valet guys were so friendly and welcoming. The front desk staff Dayshea and Hung were so polite and friendly. They even helped me with an issue that I had unrelated to my hotel stay. I plan on visiting DC again soon and I’ve already decided to stay here.
The Royal Sonesta was the perfect hotel for our mother daughter trip! It’s perfectly located within 10 minutes of walking from union station, and has a beautiful lobby with great natural light. We arrived way before check-in time so we weren’t expecting our room to be ready, but Dayshea at the front desk gave us a pleasant surprise by upgrading us and letting us check in early. She was also super sweet with my daughter, answering all her questions and letting her choose her favorite animals for our room cards. |Our double queen room was super spacious with huge windows facing the street, though you couldn’t hear any noise. The decor was whimsical and the bedding was clean. There was plenty of storage space and amenities, they had a regular iron plus a steam iron, and even a souvenir water
