The Ritz-Carlton, Philadelphia

My recent stay at this Ritz location left much to be desired. I've stayed at a few different Ritz properties and this was perhaps the one that really left me feeling that this particular location's manager needs to change their hotel's standards to match those of other Ritz properties around the world. I came to visit with my adult son to visit the Christmas markets and enjoy a night in town. I'm a lifetime platinum Marriott member, Ritz credit card holder, and a marriott vacation club owner, so I've visited my fair share of Marriott properties and this welcome was anything but warm. I do food delivery and for some reason the staff at many of the high end hotels in center city treat me poorly. I'm always respectful and ask how they want the order delivered since certain places let you take it to the room but many don't and I understand that. With that said this hotel is one of only two that consistently treats me with respect and in fact they treat me as well as their clientele. They open the doors for me and greet me politely and immediately direct me to where I need to drop the food off. I very much appreciate this and want the management to know how amazing their employees are.

As one of Philadelphia's premier hotels, I had high expectations when making my reservation. However, the service quality during my stay proved to be a thoroughly disappointing experience. Over my four-night stay, my room key card required daily reactivation at reception for reasons unknown. When this issue first arose, it remained unresolved. No apology was offered on the second, third, or fourth occasion until my departure, and I was even asked to provide proof of the problem. This is hardly the sort of error one expects from a hotel of this calibre. Fresh fruit I'd purchased was stored in the refrigerator, though I was unaware it was faulty and not cooling at all, resulting in the produce spoiling. Outstanding at every level from front desk, concierge and door staff. As it was our anniversary we were given a bottle of complimentary champagne to celebrate a great touch. Location is first rate an easy ten minute walk from most places. Really recommend.

We, stayed for Valentines weekend, for my husband's 60th birthday. We, had a fantastic time. The food is amazing. We, has massages, omg, simply outstanding. The best massage we ever had. They did a fantastic job, setting up the room with , a cake and wine. We,will definitely return. Do the club level, it's worth it. All food and beverages available all day All the food was fantastic.
