Lokal Hotel Fishtown

Stayed at the Fishtown Lokal Hotel and loved everything about it! The team communicated clearly and any questions I had, they responded to almost immediately. Super friendly. We stayed in the Front Jawn Unit 01 Studio and it was SO cute and comfy! The bedding was to die for, and there were so many little touches that made it special - from the finishes and furniture to the cute little cocktail making cart and Chemex coffee set up. There’s tons of natural light but also blackout curtains if you need that. You can hear/feel the train go by above street level, but the place must be well insulated because it was really quiet. The rooms were clean, spacious, and well equipped with anything you would need. Check in and check out is via self service and was super easy, with good communication and updates received via text message. The location is great and within easy walking distance of great restaurants and the Fillmore. There is a train nearby but the noise was minimal.

I really like the Lokal model. Low touch & low key check in. You get all the details in advance & the instructions are easy to follow. The rooms are mini-apartments, sleekly designed yet comfortable. You can use it as a hotel or a home away from home given the kitchen. I stayed in the back loft based on some reviews and it was as quiet as a city room gets. Yes there is a train close by and a low rumble early in the am...didn't really bother me but there were earplugs if you are a light sleeper. Nice big spa-esque bathroom. I'd love to come back in warmer weather and use the back garden. I've stayed in the other Philly location and both are great. However, I would say take a Lyft to find the Fishtown location. Our old school driver got lost.

My wife and I have been to Fishtown several times to visit our kids, and have stayed at hotels and AirBnBs. The Lokal was a first for us but won’t be the last. Convenient, perfectly appointed, clean and accessible to area bars, restaurants, markets and shops made it the perfect place for a 4 day weekend stay. Staff was easy to contact and very responsive. While some warned about the El (we were in the Front Jawn, 1st floor front) it was not an issue at all. Highly recommend!

We stayed here for our son's wedding and it was fabulous! Our 2 bedroom apartment was vey spacious and modern. It's walkable to all the great shops and restaurants in Fishtown. It's very safe and secure-- there is a gate and a lock code. The staff was friendly and very accommodating. I can't wait to stay here again.
