The Rittenhouse Hotel

The Rittenhouse has a reputation as a premier accommodation in Philadelphia and I can attest that it has earned that and more with our recent visit. This was a Christmas gift to my girlfriend who has a special birthday in January. We arrived hopeful for early check in and our room was ready despite being over an hour early. The only problem that we encountered was some standing water around the toilet, noticed when we arrived. Glancing around the lobby, we knew we were in a different, luxury environment that we were not accustomed to! A call to the front office, and a maintenance man was at our room in five minutes. Ten minutes later the problem was resolved, After an all day pub crawl and a nice dinner at a local restaurant we ended the night at the hotels luxury bar, "The Library"

Our girls’ weekend trip from DC was absolutely wonderful, and our stay at the hotel exceeded every expectation. The location was perfect, the rooms were beautiful, and the staff made the experience truly special. A heartfelt thank-you to Mark and Priscilla, who went above and beyond with there kindness and helpfulness to make our trip to Philly unforgettable!

Great one night weekend escape. Filled to the brim with luxury. Facial at spa. Sauna and steam room after gym workout and semi private exercise session with trainer (due to no one else joining). Great room with wonderful view over the park. Friendly and helpful staff and lovely breakfast at LaCroix.

I really want to give this 5 stars because this hotel has such a great reputation in Philly. But I just can't honestly give it 5. Maybe we expected too much, but this was not a 5-star experience. Just weird little problems that popped up.||-No bedding in the room for the pull-out couch. We had to call down to order it. It's nice they came up to make the bed. But what it if had been 11 p.m. and no bedding to be found?||-We asked at the front desk for an extra robe to be sent up to the room. We waited 20 minutes, but no robe. We called again. They apologized and delivered the robe within 5 minutes. ||-We sat in the lobby near the bar for a drink. I went into the bar to order. A server was standing there doing nothing. They said they would be right out to take my order. I went back to the lob
