The Resort at Governor's Crossing

Overall we had an awesome experience. Wosh i could do 4.5 stars. Jackie woth activities department was amazing. She went oit of her way to try and help us with the timing and alternate options for certain things our kids couldnt have. Housekeeping was great. Lots of fun things to do at the resort, plus tons and tons of things nearby. The only things we didnt like: thermostat was locked, so couldnt set a/c below 68⁰. We like to keep it at 65-66 at night. There was a sliding back door, but no actual balcony in our room. Many rooms did have balconies though, so maybe just bad luck there. The screen door and the paper towel holder were broken, but functional. The shower drain was a slightly clogged as well, so the water didnt drain as fast as the shower out out. We wanted a place to take the grandkids during the cold months so that they would be able to swim and enjoy the water. The Resort at the Governor's Crossing checked off all of our boxes. From making reservations, to check-in, to the facility, to the staff, it was truly a great experience. The rooms had everything we needed and were super clean, but the best part of the stay was the staff. every staff member we came in contact with wanted to know if we were enjoying our stay and if they could do anything for us. As we waited on an elevator we met Michelle that works in guest services. She told us what she did to fill in where she was needed but really seemed to enjoy her job. What a pleasure to talk to someone that enjoyed what they do at work.

We always love staying at The Resort at Governors Crossing. The location is great with so much to do with little one. The rooms have all that you need to be able to stay at your home away from your home. Jackie with entertainment is wonderful and so good with the kids. She is so engaged with the kids when they are doing their activities. Her love for her job and kids show. Our girls love doing the activities and crafts that the resort offers. This is one big reason we love coming back here.

This place is a budget knock off of the Wilderness. Pros: the location is close to a lot of activities and the service was good as well. Staff that checked us in were friendly and we were able to text if we needed anything. Cons: The beds were beyond uncomfortable, I slept on the couch (which was only a slight upgrade from the bed), The indoor pool was disgusting and very dated. The shower never got more than warm and the floors of the shower were slick. The room was hot most of our stay (even with temps of 65 during the day and 30 at night). We turned the AC down as low as it would go and had maintenance check it as well and they said it was all fine. We slept with the balcony doors partially open because it was so stuffy. We asked for a fan, but they dont hace those available. We won't b
